About the Community of Banker’s Hill
Banker’s Hill is generally a residential area comprised of condominiums, apartment complexes, and single-family dwellings. Depending upon their location many of the homes feature beautiful views of San Diego’s Bay, the airport, Coronado and Harbor Islands, and even Mount Soledad. With 19th century flair many old homes in this vicinity have been restored and turned into Bed and Breakfasts as well as office buildings to keep the metropolis growing. The name Banker’s Hill was acquired from the areas reputation of becoming home of the affluent.
Amid the various condos, apartments and family dwellings, lies an oasis of culture awaiting your exploration! 1,200 acres, the largest urban cultural park in North America, includes 17 museums, tranquil gardens, performance venues, classes, tours, special events, even a world a famous Zoo! Live where others come to vacation!
About the Community of Mission Hills
An affluent upscale community not far from the city of San Diego, Mission Hills overlooks Old Town, Downtown San Diego, as well as San Diego Bay and Mission Valley. Primarily a residential area which includes two recreational parks (Pioneer and Mission Hills Park) you can find a few restaurants and boutiques scattered within the neighborhood but within walking distance to the Hillcrest restaurants and shops to the East, and the Old Town restaurants, shops, and museums off to the Northwest.
Developed mostly in the 1920’s many of the homes here still hold designs true to that era. More modern homes of the 1950’-60’s were built along canyon rims by modern masters such as Lloyd Ruocco, Homer Delawie, John Lloyd Wright and Sim Bruce Richards, among others.
